Looking back at Automechanika in September, where Macnaught brought Australian innovation to the global market at the Trade Fair in Frankfurt, Germany.
Automechanika gave Macnaught the opportunity to showcase itself on the world stage; years of hard work became a reality through bringing three new world-class products to the market. This includes the new Battery Operated Pump, extension to the Retracta range, and upgraded KY+ grease coupler.
In the company’s 70th year, Macnaught has showcased a world stopping, one-of-a-kind product – The Battery Operated Pump. Designed and manufactured in Australia, the Battery Operated Pump, also referred to the BOP20, is a portable and rechargeable, 18volt battery operated oil pump, designed to improve workshop efficiency and reduce fatigue with the flick of a button.
Simple but clever, the BOP20 powerhead can be transferred across multiple pump stems to reduce set-up costs, cross-contamination and the ‘on-demand’ flow nozzle allows full control over oil delivery with flow rates up to 3.5L/min. The BOP20 single handily improves efficiency and workflow, making work easier.
Next, we have the new R3 Series from Retracta. First launched at Agquip in August at the heart of this innovation is the patented RACR® ‘Retracta Adjustable Control Return’ system supplied on all R3-P+ models. This world-first control return system offers not only the safety of slowing the return speed of the hose when released but goes beyond the simple one size fits all ‘slow return’ approach, by offering true control to the user, by setting the speed of return to suit their individual requirements.
Macnaught’s patent-pending release mechanism delivers enhanced safety and is both easier and faster to use. The KY+ retains the benefit of the original floating jaw design, providing a strong, leak-free connection while improving safety and usability through internal pressure relief that reduces the risk of high-pressure grease release. The simple snap on-and-off connection reduces hydraulic bind and high pressure highlighting a ‘Load & Lube’ functionality.
The largest trade fair of its kind in the automotive market ran across five days, visited by tens of thousands of international guests including new potential international customers.
